I work with deaf children and the app has been very helpful to me
-use it all the time, lots of word choices and the modelling is clear. hope they keep adding new words as time goes on.
The best dictionary Ive found. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it needs way more words. Whenever Im looking up a word I usually have to go through a few asl dictionarys to find it. I wish there was an app that had all the words but I cant find one that exists :(
The only reason I didnt give it a five is because I usually have to look up other words on other sights, wish they would open their dictionary with a little more variety!!

Some bad moments

I use this app all the time to communicate with friends and family as I get up to speed on ASL. Well worth the purchase price. Im impressed by how comprehensive the dictionary is.
This app has been very helpful in my process of learning ASL! I notice that there arent some signs on there when Im looking for a specific word, but for the most part they have a lot of vocab on here. I would highly recommend it.

Great app to help learn sign language. I like marking this weeks new words as favorites for practice. Id like to see some simple sentences to practice grammar.
I work as an SLP in a school for severely handicapped children, the majority of whom need some alternate form of communication. Most of our staff havent had sign language training, so it was hard to ask them to support my sign language lessons with the kids because they couldnt remember the signs sufficiently. Also depending on the activities of the day sometimes a particular word would become relevant during a teachable moment. I had my school put the app on the classroom IPads to help the staff gain easy access to signs at the very time that a certain vocabulary word becomes relevant to a child.
Excellent app. I downloaded this app for my ASL classes, and it has helped me a lot. Its really hard to study when you dont have access to the Internet to check if you are doing your signs the right way. This app doesnt need Internet. Whenever you need to review a sign, it is right there on the spot. I highly recommend this app. Keep in mind that not all ASL signs are signed the same way. Just like different accents exist throughout the U.S. different ways of signing exist as well. Also, the signs used in this app are very modern. Some of the old signs might not be singed the same way as the new ones.
